Impeachment hearings begin for criminal-President Bush

Why do mainstream news media and our Congressional representatives ignore and mock this story?

Even the best stories on the Bush impeachment state outright that it was a mockery, and that there would be no impeachment. See the Common Dreams story.

There was,of course, no record of any coverage by any major news outlets. A link to a syndicated blog from CBS News was the most prominent I could find in Google. And it not only mocks the trial, but suggests that the "anti-Iraq" and "Bush haters" are crazy for ever thinking Congress would actually hold the President accountable (if they did, well, then they'd have to be accountable).
